Message from the CEO: Building A Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive Community through Events!

Welcome to the latest edition of our monthly newsletter!

We are BACK to providing you with our amazing newsletters. We appreciate your patience. Our team has working hard in getting our monthly newsletters back and running! We’re excited to share with you some exciting updates and news from our company. Each month we will provide you with all the latest association, corporate and community event industry insights and trends.

At Michigan Premier Events, we thrive on providing events that are focused on advancing a diverse, equitable and inclusive community. We recently just held our first annual Juneteenth Celebration over the summer. This free event was held from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Lansing Center in Downtown Lansing. Individuals had the opportunity to dress up and collaborate celebrating black history and black culture.

Michigan Premier Events is hosting the first annual Mid-Michigan Diversity Business Summit presented by PNC Bank on Tuesday, October 17th at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Small business owners, entrepreneurs, and job seekers throughout Mid-Michigan are set to connect for the Mid-Michigan Diversity Business Summit, an event that promotes entrepreneurship, diversity, employment and procurement opportunities. Addressing the growing need for a more inclusive business landscape, the Mid-Michigan Diversity Business Summit offers a platform for individuals and entities to connect, empower, and elevate. More information and to register for the event is located on the Michigan Premier Events website.

This month is National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th - October 15th). National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. At Michigan Premier Events, we find this month meaningful as our Hispanic community enriches our economy in numerus ways. As we celebrate the Hispanic heritage month, let us recognize that the strength of our economy lies in its diversity. Join us recognizing and celebrating the many contributions, diverse cultures and extensive histories of the Latinx community.

Let's think about how we can collectively come together to pursue success and innovation as a community. Creating a diverse, equitable, inclusive and belonging aligned environment is essential for any organization or community.

Once a month, I will email you to share a few thoughts, community highlights, and let you know about upcoming events. As you know, I love Mid-Michigan, I love Pure Michigan, I love business and most importantly I love connecting people through events. I welcome you to email me back with any thoughts or questions. After all, we’re in this together!

With warmest greetings,

Ashlee R. Willis
